What is the challenge? |
PreciScan in Z is a powerful tool to image e.g. organoids. However, usually the organoids are very diverse in size. This means that A) the scientist needs to know quite precisely the size of the largest objects of interest, and B) since the size of ReScan objects will be quite diverse, the instrument will image a lot of unnecessary planes for the smaller objects during the ReScan |
What is the impact? |
Since most objects will be much smaller than the ReScan Volume, this will create a lot of useless ReScan data and the Re-Scan will take considerably longer time than necessary. |
Describe your idea |
So far, you can only define the "Z Position of..." in the Define Results Building Block as a starting position for the Re-Scan. If there was an option to also set e.g. the highest z-plane of an object (plus a possible offset) as a limiter for the ReScan stack, the scientist could avoid imaging a lot of unnecessary planes. |
